VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is a non-profit government organisation established by law and operating under the auspices of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is a multitechnological research organisation providing high-end technology solutions and innovation services.

An explanation of how VTT´s profile matches the tasks in the proposal; VTT is a multi-technological applied research centre with versatile resources for experimental studies. The use of standardized measurement methods and the development of new measurement systems has been a natural part of VTT’s role in many projects. In Hercules-2 project VTT’s tasks include development of advanced, new emission measurement systems for SO3, NH3 and particulate emissions to support the development of integrated after treatment technologies. To comply with these challenges VTT will utilize accurate and reliable standardized gas and particle measurement methods and adapt the existing measurement facilities to new demands in the project. VTT will also develop new systems so that the operation of after treatment technologies can be tested and verified.
